I have no special information on the matter, but the charge that the Makah are just planning to sell the meat in Japan reminds me of the various charges put forward speculatively against the Branch Davidian cult in Waco, fishing for one that would turn the public against them. If it doesn’t work to say they want to sell the meat in Japan, say they sexually abuse their children.
