I understand your stance regarding God or gods, that “the only thing I can say about the gods is that there is no way to discover their number. That knowledge is simply not obtainable.”But do you conclude from this that God does not exist? Or do you consider yourself an agnostic?Categories: I Have a Question About Daniel Quinn, I Have a Question On a Specific Subject|Tags: Christian, Ecumenism, Religion| Read More
According to Ishmael, symbolically speaking, eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil led man to believe that he could make choices for himself that took him out of the hands of the gods, which ultimately has led him (and the rest of the world) to the edge of his undoing. The thought occurred to me that perhaps Jesus understood this, and that baptism was his attempt to cleanse mankind from this knowledge. Perhaps this is how he intended to be the savior of man; by washing away the (original) sin of Adam and Eve and placing man back into the hands of the gods.Tragically, this is not the interpretation of Jesus’s intentions as taught by modern Christianity.Categories: Here's My Opinion; What's Yours?, I Have a Question On a Specific Subject|Tags: Animism, Christian, Ecumenism, Religion| Read More
By the time we “discovered” America the continent was fully inhabited by Native Americans. Their population growth is much slower than ours, but it grows too. They still had enough of room to grow slowly without being a real danger for this world. But what if they have had another hundred thousand years? Their growth is slowed down by the way they live, but there’s no proof that it is really limited. Or is there a proof? Finally, my best argument is: they DO have a population control that works until now, which is more than we can assert. And it would be better to have a control that presumably works than to have NO control at all. But would it work if they would have our technology? If we don’t have to give up technology, and if the Leavers have the only known mechanism to control population, what would happen if you combine these components?Categories: I Have a Question On a Specific Subject, I Need Some Clarification|Tags: Agriculture, Ecumenism, Famine, Hunting, Population Control| Read More
I find myself feeling troubled when I read that you seem to completely believe in evolution, when frankly there’s no proof for it. The entire educational system has incorporated this “false proof” and teach the children at very young ages that it is fact and that fact completely denies the idea of God.Categories: I Have a Bone to Pick with You!, I Need Some Clarification|Tags: Christian, Ecumenism, Education, Evolution, Religion| Read More

You indicate that salvationist religions (SR) developed many years after and indirectly due to totalitarian agriculture (TA). But just because TA led to SR, is SR inherently against Leaver principles? Leavers believe all kinds of different things and have no qualms with the different beliefs of other Leaver peoples. Why not tolerate SR?Categories: I Have a Bone to Pick with You!|Tags: Ecumenism, Religion| Read More
I’m wondering if Daniel hasn’t oversimplified and left out some incredible history/people that were very animistic in their approach; Meister Eckhart, Hildegard of Bingen, Thomas Aquinas etc…Categories: I Have a Question About the Books/the Characters|Tags: Animism, Ecumenism| Read More
